Privacy Policy for Droplet

Last updated: April 10, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Droplet. This Privacy Policy explains how Droplet ("we," "our," or "the App"), developed and published by Hexzile, handles your information. Droplet is an Android app designed to help users add image or text watermarks to photos, apply privacy-focused photo edits, save watermark profiles, and share processed content. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App works.

2. Our Local-First Processing Philosophy

At Droplet, we aim to process your media primarily on your device.

On-device processing: Photo watermarking, blur effects, monochrome effects, text rendering, and related image processing are performed locally on your Android device.

No cloud photo uploads: We do not upload your original or edited photos to our own servers for normal editing or watermarking use.

User-controlled sharing: If you choose to share processed images, the App sends them only to the destination you select using Android's share sheet, such as Gmail, Messenger, Facebook, or other installed apps.

3. Information We Access and Collect

To provide App functionality, Droplet may access or collect the following categories:

a. Media and Files

The App may access files or media on your device so you can:

  • select photos for watermarking or editing
  • choose a watermark logo/image
  • save processed output files
  • share output files

b. User-Provided Content

The App may store content you provide inside the App, including:

  • watermark text
  • saved watermark profiles
  • settings such as transparency, size, tile gap, rotation, anchor position, and watermark mode

This information is generally stored locally on your device.

c. App Preferences and Local State

Droplet may store local settings such as:

  • dark mode preference
  • sound/effects settings
  • preview preferences
  • last-used profile or recent configuration
  • premium/referral state cached locally for smoother offline use

d. Referral and Account Data

Droplet includes a referral system. To use referral features, users may sign in with a Google account.

When using referrals, the App may process:

  • Google sign-in account identity information made available through sign-in
  • referral code ownership
  • referral claims
  • referral reward/premium status

Referral-related information may be stored in our backend service powered by Supabase.

e. Purchase and Subscription Status

If you purchase or restore premium access through Google Play Billing, the App may process:

  • purchase status
  • subscription entitlement status
  • premium activation state

Droplet does not directly collect your payment card details. Payments are handled by Google Play.

f. Technical and Diagnostic Information

We may receive limited technical information needed to operate or improve the App, such as:

  • app crashes
  • error logs
  • device model
  • Android version
  • ad-related technical signals
  • basic network/connectivity state

4. Third-Party Services

Droplet uses third-party services that may process data under their own privacy policies.

a. Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display ads, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and rewarded ads.

AdMob may collect information such as:

  • advertising ID
  • IP address
  • device and app information
  • interaction and analytics data

This may be used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and ad personalization, subject to Google's policies and your Google/Android settings.

b. Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In for referral-related account identification. This helps us associate referral codes and rewards with a more stable user identity.

c. Google Play Billing

We use Google Play Billing for subscription and premium purchase flows.

d. Supabase

We use Supabase to store and manage referral-related data, such as:

  • referral code records
  • referral claims
  • referral reward status

e. WebView / Website Content

The App opens some pages inside the app using a WebView, including:

  • About
  • Terms of Service
  • Privacy Policy

These pages are served from: About, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.

Standard web requests to those pages may involve normal web logging by the hosting/service layer, such as IP address, browser/device metadata, and request timing.

5. Data Retention

a. Local Files and Settings

Locally stored settings, profiles, and cached App state remain on your device until:

  • you delete them
  • you clear App storage
  • you uninstall the App

b. Temporary Share Files

When you share images, Droplet may create temporary files in cache storage. These may be cleared automatically by Android or overwritten later by the App.

c. Referral Data

Referral-related records stored in Supabase may be retained as long as needed to operate the referral and reward system, prevent abuse, and maintain account reward history.

6. Offline Use

Some premium or referral-related status may be cached locally after a successful sync so the App can continue working more smoothly when internet access is unavailable.

However, some features require internet access to refresh or verify the latest server/account state, including:

  • referral account status
  • newly earned referral rewards
  • sign-in
  • ads
  • subscription or entitlement refresh
  • website content loaded in-app

7. Children's Privacy

Droplet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will review the situation.

8. Security

We value your trust and aim to minimize unnecessary data exposure by processing photo content locally whenever possible. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure. We encourage users to:

  • keep devices updated
  • use device security protections
  • review third-party account and ad privacy settings where applicable

9. Your Choices and Controls

You may control your use of the App in several ways:

  • Permissions: You can deny or revoke media/file access in Android Settings.
  • Google Sign-In: You can choose whether to sign in for referral features.
  • Ad Personalization: You can manage ad settings through your Google account and Android settings.
  • Profiles and Local Data: You can delete saved profiles or uninstall the App to remove local App data.
  • Referral Participation: You are not required to use the referral system to use the core watermarking features.
  • Data Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time through our Delete Account request page or by contacting us at hexzile.official@gmail.com.

10. Closed Testing Notice

During the Closed Testing phase:

  • features may change frequently or be incomplete
  • data collected is used specifically to identify bugs and improve the user experience before the official launch
  • some services (ads, referrals) may be in an experimental state

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last updated date above and publish the revised version through our website or in-app page.
